From garbage to garden: we collect frozen food waste from local residents outside library locations around New Orleans every week. We partner with Schmelly's Dirt Farm and other urban farms to create nutrient-rich compost used to grow healthy food.

Mid City Messenger promotes new Mid City Drop-off
THe Mid-City Messenger promoted the new Mid City Library food waste collection program, which begins on September 6th with drop-offs from 6:00-7:30pm.

SAME: Rosa Keller Library, Saturdays from 10:30am-noon
